Freezing Fresh Peaches

Ingredients

  • Peaches
  • Sea salt

Instructions

  1. Start with fresh, ripe peaches. Wash the peaches and set aside.

  2. Next you'll want to blanche the peaches. Bring a large pot of water up to a rolling boil. Add peaches into the boiling water for ~1 minute. Remove them from the boiling water and place in an ice water bath to stop them from cooking.

  3. Once all of the peaches have been blanched remove all of the skin, pits, and any bad spots. Slice into desired size and then place the peeled peaches into a cool water bath with 2 T of sea salt dissolved in it. This will prevent browning.

  4. Drain the peaches well and then put all of the peaches into zip top freezer bags. Label and lay them flat. Freeze until ready to use.
