Our theme for the week was Snow/Winter. We don’t have snow in our area very often and when we do it’s pretty light, but it did get pretty darn cold last week so at least that was on theme. 🙂

Cheesy Killer Bread
If your house is anything like mine we’ve got a lot of football going on this time of year. And with football comes lots of what I like to call “football food.” That just means finger foods/appetizers. We often have people over to the house to watch games and it’s kinda fun to make a bunch of finger foods and enjoy the game together.

I just couldn’t wait to get back to our weekly homeschool review. Vacation was great and I wouldn’t have wanted to go without it but I have been so excited to get back to school. I feel like the kids are in better moods which means I am in a better mood which makes it a great day! 😀

The last week of fall term for us here! I’m not going to lie it was a jumbled mess when it came to school this week. We did some out of town visiting and had random things we don’t normally have going on in the middle of the week so it just was a bit different than our “normal” routine but we did most of what was on our schedule.

A while back I posted a tutorial on how I make cold brew coffee. I was just starting to drink coffee a few times a week. Well now I don’t go more than a day without a cup. It is just so delicious and it also helps me get through the afternoon when I’m starting to feel like I want a nap but I can’t nap because nap time is when I can actually get things done!

I just can’t believe how fast this school year is going by. I feel like these recaps of our weeks just come around so quickly. I am really enjoying homeschooling with Scarlett and this term has been so much fun, but I think I may be even more excited for next term. I’m going through and putting the final touches on our Winter term and I will be posting that soon so stay tuned for that! 🙂
…Chicken Pot Pie
We have been in Christmas mode around our house the last few weeks. Making gifts, baking treats, decorating, and LOTS of Christmas music. It really is the most wonderful time of year. But with all the extra things that have been going on I have been doing a lot of quick and easy dinners. Quick and easy doesn’t mean they aren’t good but it’s nice to do something that takes a bit more time and effort every once in a while even if we are busy. This chicken pot pie is a family favorite. I’m never disappointed after all the effort I put in because it is just so darn good!
