Week seven’s theme was superheroes! Scarlett got a Wonder Woman costume a while back and she loves running around catching people with her lasso of truth. 😀 This theme isn’t really very educational but it was pretty fun.
I didn’t take very many pictures this week for some reason. I just would get started doing some of the assignments and we were practically finished by the time I thought of grabbing the camera.
We started the week off with pages 116-119 in our nature study book. We learned a bit about trees and Scarlett got to draw some trees. We actually had warm enough weather to enjoy some time outside during the week and the kids absolutely loved it! Can’t wait for Spring!
For geography we did pages 45-49 in our workbook. I think, since we started this book this term instead of at the beginning of the school year, that we will continue it through the summer so we can finish it by the Fall term.
For science Scarlett made her very own superhero signal. This was so much fun. The girls and I all went into the pantry to make the signal on the wall with a flashlight. We just couldn’t wait until dark!
For art Scarlett made this Wonder Woman craft. My mom made this with her while I was at work and I just thought it was too cute to see her running around in it when I got home.
For reading we learned the sight words Into, Good, and Want. We also read 10 Rules of Being a Superhero and Pooh Bear’s Grand and Wonderful Day.
For math we did our Mickey Mouse and Morning Starters workbooks and this superhero math activity. I didn’t want to purchase the cube counters since we already have animal counters so instead of stacking them up we just lined them up in front of the superhero number cards.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today! Hope to see you again next week!
