The last week of fall term for us here! I’m not going to lie it was a jumbled mess when it came to school this week. We did some out of town visiting and had random things we don’t normally have going on in the middle of the week so it just was a bit different than our “normal” routine but we did most of what was on our schedule.
We finished out our music study with listening to Mozart.
For art this week we did this fingerprint key chain craft. It’s different than what I was planning but we were able to make them as gifts from the girls. I did not get any pictures of us doing the craft either. We were just enjoying some time visiting with my parents and I didn’t feel like getting the camera out!
Math this week we did our usual math worksheet, christmas tree roll and cover activity, and don’t feed the raccoon math game. The roll and cover activity was so much fun but the printable was meant to be green, not blue. My printer was not recognizing the color cartridge when I printed it and so I think that’s what the problem was but it was still lots of fun.
For reading we learned the sight words All, There, and Out. We read The Tale of Jemima Puddle-Duck from our Beatrix Potter book and Mr. Willowby’s Christmas Tree. We also played with some flash cards for colors, shapes, and letters.
Handwriting this week we practiced the numbers 8-10.
We did not do any science this week. I didn’t have the borax I thought I did and we just didn’t end up with extra time to get to the store and still do the experiment.
I definitely don’t feel great about how the week turned out as far as school goes but it was very nice to get to see family, relax, and just play with the kids! Merry Christmas everyone and see ya next term!
